Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, went on the Rush Limbaugh show Wednesday to promote the fight to defund Obamacare through a continuing resolution.
As part of the fight, Cruz advised listeners of the show to sign the petition in support of the proposal at dontfundit.com.
Limbaugh warned Cruz that the website would soon crash as a result of a heavy online traffic surge.
“We have a history here of shutting down websites,” Limbaugh said. “I have no doubt that this one is going to be shut down for a while, because you’re going to have millions of people going there to check it out.”
Within minutes of Cruz’s appearance on the show, the website crashed, and would only display the following error message.
